All of this had me thinking about the different rituals of families. What will you want to remember about your family in 5, 10, 20 years? What do you wish you could put in a time capsule to treasure for years to come?As I laid in bed last night unable to sleep, I felt so compelled to capture how Lucca very deliberately eats his gummy vitamins, like how some people eat oreos, how he puts his shoes on backwards, and how he lays his coat down so he can flip it over his head. I want to capture him napping with Lucy, playing the snowboarding game on Shan's phone and how engrossed he gets into his shows. How he plays with his dinosaurs and babies, brushes his own hair and feeds Lucy. These are the moments I want to hold onto forever. Soon he'll know how to put his shoes and coat on, will have his own phone and certainly won't nap. But for now...I get to drink in the mundane moments. These are Lucca's daily rituals.
This is my own personal photo project right now. Documenting his rituals that most days I completely overlook, or rush him to do so we can get out the door.
If you're interested in documenting your families rituals, please contact me. This is something very dear to my heart and I'd love to pass on that gift. These sessions will be completely custom and can vary from a session at your house documenting your morning rituals, a walk or park that's become special, or a day excursion. If you like the concept, but need help finding an idea, let me know and we'll brainstorm. Due to the custom nature, they will start at $300 and will go from there based on the length of session. Because I'm so excited to get started on the project, I will offer a $100 discount to anyone who books in April.
